For each pair of hollow 'ventilation' roof tiles, one is positioned high at just a few tiles below the ridge cap, and its 'partner' is on the other side of the roof in a low position, a few tiles above the gutter. This enables cool air to enter through the 'lower' 'ventilation' roof tile, as hot air leaves through the 'upper' 'ventilation' roof tile on the other side of the roof creating a convection current.

When there is a breeze, the air movement to ventilate your roof space is increased based on the Venturi Principle. This product is designed and made in Australia. Here is an article published by the Sydney Morning Herald about the issues involving unventilated roofs - Click Here.
