Quick to create a drawing, portable and ideal if you are a professional designer or regularly on the move. You can quickly and effectively tap into your creative side like never before.
Using the outside edges of these brilliant and unique perspective drawing boards, and the supplied Tracking Rule, you can also draw traditional 2D drawings such as, ‘plans’ and ‘elevations’.
These perspective drawing boards are ideal for architects, artists, building designers, students, handymen, interior or kitchen designers, in fact anyone who is creative, or who needs to put their design ideas quickly on paper. Drawing a perspective has never been this easy!! The perspective drawing board is an ideal "left and right brain" gift for children and grandchildren, encouraging hands-on creativity and thinking beyond computers, TV and video games. It may also be effective for rehabilitation needs.
The unique, smart, portable and easy-to-use drawing boards allow you to automatically draw 3 dimensional perspectives.
They are available in:
- Two sizes, LARGE (for maximum A3 paper) or SMALL (for maximum A4 paper)
- Two versions, Eye Level View (ELV), or Birds Eye View (BEV) sizes
- To draw ‘to scale’ or ‘in proportion’, The Calculator is available as a CD ROM for PC (only) computers. By using The Calculator, it automatically calculates the length to draw each access of the perspective. We can arrange for them to be sent anywhere in the world. Read all about them below.

Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) Perspective Drawing Board - best for drawings of objects
This version of the perspective drawing board is ideal for drawing small objects as it produces a bird's eye view of items such as furniture, industrial products or other goods.
The perspective is created by using a specially designed tracking rule, whose phenolic tracking balls fit into the three specially crafted (routed), slightly curved side slots. Thus, when you draw lines using one side of the tracking rule, the perspective effect is immediately generated. To draw a traditional 2D drawing using the same board, you merely place the tracking rule on the board with tracking balls positioned over the straight edge of the board, which then turns tracking rule into a T-guide.
The Bird's-Eye-View Board is ideal for developing ideas before you make them or if you need to show, present or explain your ideas or concepts to someone else. The Bird's-Eye-View Board was originally designed for school students, to help them confidently produce their design ideas. Thus, using this drawing board is the fastest and easiest way to generate effective perspective drawings.
The Bird's-Eye-View Board is intuitive, easy to master and is ideal for year 7 - 12 students, helping those who may not be gifted at drawing, to develop their design concepts. The exercise book supplied makes learning to use the board fun and easy. These boards are already being used in over 100 schools across Australia. Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) Perspective Drawing Board Package contents
- Bird's-Eye-View (BEV) Perspective Drawing Board - either in STANDARD or LARGE size, manufactured from durable Melamine covered MDF with protective PVC edging
- Tracking Rule - made from tough 25mm polycarbonate material it is guaranteed not to break through normal use. Using phenolic tracking balls, the tracking rule fits into the three side slots so that when you draw a line, it always aligns to the "vanishing point" to give you a perfect perspective drawing.
- Ellipse Template - made from tough 1mm polycarbonate material it is guaranteed not to break through normal use. This ellipse template was designed solely for use with the Bird's-Eye-View Board and by following simple rules, you will be able to draw circles, cylinders, wheels, cut outs and radiused curves in perspective.
- Exercise Book - only to be used on Bird's-Eye-View Board. The book contains 30 easy step-by-step exercises to build confidence using your Bird's-Eye-View Board and ellipse template. These exercises are designed to help you think and draw in 3 dimensions. You can fix each page to the board and finish the shape by following the instructions.

Eye-Level Perspective (ELV) Drawing Board - best for interior & exterior
The Eye-Level (ELV) Perspective Drawing Board is designed especially for rapidly generating interior and exterior perspective drawings of buildings. Its perspective view, although fixed, is the "eye-level" view. This is achieved by having a different slot configuration to the Bird's-Eye-View Board.
The perspective is created by using a specially designed tracking rule, whose phenolic tracking balls fit into the three specially crafted (routed), slightly curved side slots. Thus, when you draw lines using one side of the tracking rule, the perspective effect is immediately generated. To draw a traditional 2D drawing using the same board, you merely place the tracking rule on the board with tracking balls positioned over the straight edge of the board, which then turns tracking rule into a T-guide.
Although the Eye-Level Board is mainly restricted to drawing bigger objects, it produces perspectives better than the Bird's-Eye-View Board version. When drawing interiors on an Eye-Level-View Board, they come out as if you are inside the room. Thus, the Eye-Level Perspective Board version is better suited for architects, building designers, interior designers and artists who specialise in interior and exterior building designs. It is a handy working and selling tool for kitchen and bathroom designers. It is also ideal for landscape designers and architects.
By using the "optional extra" - Draw-to-scale CD, you can draw the perspectives "to scale", or with correct proportions. The Eye-Level Perspective Drawing Board is not suitable for drawing perspectives of smaller objects, such as furniture or products.

Draw-to-scale CD for PC's
This "optional extra" software calculates the dimensions for you to produce a perspective "to scale". It works for both versions, Bird's-Eye-View board and Eye-Level Board, of these perspective drawing boards. The Draw-to-scale CD is designed to be loaded onto your accompanying desktop computer or laptop.
You simply enter the overall dimensions of the object you that you wish to draw, and the Draw-to-scale CD will give you the line lengths that you will need to draw. You can even do a drawing on a board and the calculator will tell you what size it is in real life!! Thus, the Draw-to-scale CD enables you to draw accurate perspective drawings.
A : Height of object to be drawn

C : Depth of object to be drawn
The calculator will give the lengths of each axis to draw on the page using the ruler.
The CD software is designed for PC systems and runs under Windows 98/Me/2000/XP environment. Unfortunately, MAC systems currently NOT supported.

Delivery times, Limited Warranty and Refunds policy
Delivery times
Once full payment has been received for products ordered, it will be delivered within 10 working days to metropolitan areas either by post or by courier. Slightly longer times may be necessary for non-metropolitan areas. If any delays are expected you will be contacted either by email or phone.
Warranty
If an item gets damaged in transit, it will be replaced at no cost. If you find one of the products to contain manufacturing faults, or returning it to us, it will be replaced at no cost to you or you may get a refund. Simply Email to Smart Products and return any faulty or damaged items within 30 days of purchase.
