Under the Building Code of Australia, for new homes it is illegal to duct air from the home into the roof space. For existing homes it is simply unhygienic and encourages insects especially cockroaches and other pests to live and multiply.

We believe this is the most superior quality and highest performing ventilation fan of it's kind on the market today.

During a bushfire, embers may reach your home or building 30 minutes before the actual fire may arrive. Pieces of smouldering material float through the air and if a spark or ember enters the home, it can cause ignition of combustible materials. Your house may not be in the path of the fire but may still be ignited from flying embers.

For homes or buildings in bushfire prone areas who have or propose to use corrugated or Coloubond metal roofs, it is advisable to have the optional stainless steel mesh fitted to the external perforated outlets to satisfy the building requirements in these areas of special building and compliance needs.

A stainless steel mesh (using rivets) is installed over the entry or exit openings of the units. The openings of this non-combustible mesh are less than 1.8mm in diameter, which complies with bushfire requirements. This 'mesh' has been shown to the ACT Rural Fire Service who were satisfied with it's construction and specification.

If your home is located in or near a bushfire prone area, be sure to consider this stainless steel mesh along with your 'venting' roof product.

Price for: Stainless steel mesh fitted to outlet, $12.00ea incl. GST.

You can either leave your unit in their original Zincalume form, paint them yourself or choose a colour from our extensive range of powder coating colours. Factory applied powder coating will be the most permanent finish, resisting the effects of being exposed to the external environment and more resistant to the heat and the damaging effect of infrared rays from the Sun. Due to the extreme and variable external conditions, there is no warranty on the powder coating.

There is a minimum batch cost of $66 incl. GST. if only up to 3 ventilation tiles are to be powder coated. For orders with 2 x pairs or more to be powder coated is charged at $33 per pair incl. GST.

When organising the timing of your order, please be aware that each week on a Monday or Tuesday we take the products requiring powder coating to the factory, and are usually available for us to dispatch on the Thursday or Friday of the same week.
